PROSPECTS AND CUSTOMERS

 

The Prospects and Customer window displays all the current activity with the prospect or customer. The window is split into three areas. The table of the Companies, ongoing Actions related to the company and Opportunities that are in the pipeline.

 

 

The Prospect and Customer screen has 5 major areas as listed below.

 

Search and Queries

The search function is fully expained under common function.  The Queries drop down displays the saved Search Wizard queries for quick access.

Prospect and Customer Table

This table function like other tables in Naviteer.  Additional information about Browse tables can be reviewed under common functions Browse Tables and More.  This table shows all of the customers and prospects entered in the system.  Customers entered through the Customer entry table will show up on this table.  Prospects are identified by a gold star in the P column.  The filtered list from the table can be sent to a printer or file.  All of the columns are included in the transfer using the Send To function.  More information on Send To is available under Common Functions.  Check out the Send To video as well.

Task Panel

This task panel functions with information in the Prospect and Customers table.  See the Menu help area for more information on the menu system.   Also checkout the Menu Video.  The task panel is broken into 4 sub menus Companies (these menu selections are related to the top Prospects and Customers table), Action Log (functions related to the Action Log table), Opportunities (functions linked to the Opportunities table) and Search.

 

The Information tab is only available for customers.  This tab has order sales information like order history and top ten products.

Action Log

The Action Log is a listing of contacts with the related Company or Prospect by date.  The action log can be updated here or under the Action Log under the CRM menu.

Opportunities

These are Opportunity projects (or possible sales) that are being tracked during negotiations.   Some Opportunities will result in sales others will be delayed or cancelled due to customer/prospect inclination.

 

The lowest hanging fruit in your sales tree is the getting the next sale with a current customer. You can easily record all these Opportunities in Naviteer CRM. This enables others in your company to see the progress of the sale opportunity and provide additional support when needed. If you are on vacation, others in your company can still cover the progress of the opportunity for you.

 

Prospect and Customer Entry

 

Navigation Tabs

Tabs go to forms and tables for entry of additional information on the company.

Company Information

This is standard information on the company or prospect.  More information on customer entry is available here.

Broker (Sales Person) and Pricing Level

Select a two sales persons (brokers) that are assigned to this customer.  The pricing level is linked to the general product pricing for this customer.  All pricing in this case starts at pricing level 2 (See Product).  They can be changed during order entry to any amount. 

Misc. Information

The Status of the company determines whether it will be available on the main table.  Only active companies are shown.  Inactive can be shown using the Include Inactive check box on the main screen.

Last Contact

The last Action Log information is shown in this area.

 

Navigation Tabs

Accounting

 

Information for accounting is only available for customers.  This is available for entry on the customer table for those with full access to the Naviteer program.

 

Contacts

 

Company contact information is added on this tab.  Action Logs are tied to the contact for the company.

Opportunites

 

The Opportunities tab is linked to the company.

These are all of the actions entered for the company.

 

Bill/Ship

 

For companies that are customers a bill to and ship to address can be entered.  There is no limit in hte amount of addresses that can be entered.  Only one address can be selected as the default shipping.  Any of the billing addresses can be linked to the default shipping as the default billing address.

 

 

Notes and Order Notes

 

Notes are internal notes specific to the selected customer.  Notes will not transfer to another document.  Order notes will transfer to the order for the customer.  They can be changed on the customer order as needed.

 

Products

 

Products are linked to the customer as items that are normally purchased by the customer.

 

Attachments

Files related to the customer can be added to the customer entry.  For example, a company may have a specific pallet configuration for product sent to them.  This document can be added by linking to a file or scanning and linking.  These documents should be related to the specific customer.
