Open Credits
Open Credits can be created in the Apply Payments procedure.
Add a deposit just like posting a check.

Here is a credit memo for $10.00 added for Principal The Garlic Company. Check the box for Credit an Open Credit highlighted with red arrow. Next save the entry highlighted with the yellow arrow.

Post the entry in the original screen using the Post Deposit button highlighted with the red arrow.

Use the Open credit button to view what credits are available. Below is an example of two open credit available.

Open credits will show in the payment area for the Principal which has an open credit available. You can print the window or a selected credit memo. Examples are shown below.

The open credit can be applied to any selected invoice in the list of invoice box.
The question mark next to the Apply Open Credit button (red arrow) gives appropriate help.

If the $10.00 is applied to invoice 3 to amount due will be reduced. You will be asked to approve the credit application.

A note then confirms the credit has been applied.

After the credit is applied the invoice amount is reduced.

The entry can be reviewed from the Principal Commissions table for The Garlic Company.
