SEND TO

Send To is a powerful procedure that captures items in a single browse table for export or printing.

For example the browse below shows the customer list. Pressing the Send To button will capture all of the active customers in the table.

When the button is pressed a pop-up screen appears to transfer the table to a printer or file.

Choosing Printer will open a printer dialog box so the file can be sent to a printer. If the table is small this can result in a quick method of printing data. If the table is large it is best sent to Excel for parsing. The customer selected in the table can be reduced by applying a Search parameter. Let's add a simple search by choosing only customers that start with the letter "S".

The new table list shows only the customers with a name starting with S.

The Send To Excel file looks like this: If Excel is not available the file can be saved as a CSV file, moved to your local computer and opened in Excel.
